How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so you cancel through your device’s app store settings.

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Tap Parakiter
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile picture (top right)
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions

You keep access until the end of your current paid period. You can re-subscribe any time from inside the app.

How do I delete my account?

Open the Parakiter app, then:

  1. Tap Profile (bottom of dashboard)
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Read the warning, enter your password to confirm, and tap Delete account

This is permanent and cannot be undone.

Important: if you have an active subscription, cancel it first using the steps above. Deleting your account inside the app does not stop billing — Apple and Google will keep charging until you cancel through their settings.

If you can’t sign in (lost password, locked out etc.) email us at info@winglocker.co.uk from the email address you registered with and we’ll delete the account for you. We’ll respond within 5 working days.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? below the password field. Enter the email address you signed up with and we’ll send you a reset link.

If the email never arrives:

  • Check your spam folder
  • Make sure you’re using the exact email you signed up with (not a typo or a different account)
  • Add noreply@parakiter.com to your address book and try again

If still stuck, email info@winglocker.co.uk.

The forecast looks wrong for my site

Forecasts come from RASP, Open-Meteo, UKHO and WorldTides — they’re predictions, not measurements, and the model resolution is around 4 km. Forecasts can disagree with what’s actually happening on site, especially in complex coastal or mountainous terrain.

Things to check first:

  • Are your wing settings correct? Wrong wing or AUW gives wrong wind window.
  • For coastal sites, is the tide window set the way you want? Profile → site → My Thresholds for This Site.
  • Is the forecast more than 12 hours out? Accuracy drops noticeably beyond that.

Things you can tell us if it’s still wrong:

  • Site name
  • Date and time you were checking
  • What the forecast said vs what actually happened
  • Screenshot helps a lot

How do I add a new site?

In the app, tap the + button on the forecast map, then drop a pin and fill in the details. Submitted sites go into a moderation queue — we typically review within 48 hours and then they appear for everyone (or just you, if you marked the site as private).

Things that help your submission get approved quickly:

  • Make sure the pin is on the actual launch, not on the road or car park
  • Set the wind window (or the optimal direction and arc) — even an estimate is fine
  • For coastal sites, mark them as Coastal and we’ll attach tide data automatically
  • Add a short description if there’s anything specific about the site (e.g. landowner permission, parking)

We don’t auto-approve every submission — niche, hazardous, or paramotor-only sites are often rejected.

The app crashes / won’t open

First steps:

  1. Force-close the app and reopen it
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Check for an app update in the App Store or Play Store
  4. If still crashing, try uninstalling and reinstalling

If none of that works, email info@winglocker.co.uk with:

  • Your phone model and OS version (e.g. “iPhone 14, iOS 18.2”)
  • Parakiter app version (Profile → bottom of screen shows the dev build version, or check in App Store / Play Store)
  • What you were doing when it crashed
  • Screenshot or screen recording if possible

We see most crashes via Firebase Crashlytics automatically, but a report from you with context is the fastest way to get a fix prioritised.

I want a refund

Refunds for subscription charges are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. We can’t issue refunds directly.

For iOS purchases:

Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Parakiter charge, and request a refund. Apple usually responds within 48 hours.

For Android purchases:

Go to https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 for instructions, or open the Play Store and tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → Parakiter → Refund.

Apple and Google will sometimes ask us to confirm the issue. If they do, please describe to them what went wrong (e.g. “subscription started before trial should have ended”, “double charged”, “feature didn’t work as advertised”) so we can support your request.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

We love feedback. Email info@winglocker.co.uk with the subject “Bug” or “Feature request” and we’ll read it. We can’t promise to build everything but we read everything and reply to most.

For privacy or data-protection questions, please email info@winglocker.co.uk instead — that goes straight to whoever handles GDPR requests.
