Delete Your Parakiter Account

Google Play and Apple both require us to provide a public web page that explains how to delete your account. Here it is.

In the app (recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is from the app itself:

  1. Open the Parakiter app and sign in
  2. Tap Profile at the bottom of the dashboard
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Read the warning, enter your password to confirm, and tap Delete account

This is permanent and takes effect within seconds.

If you can’t sign in

If you’ve lost your password, lost access to the email you registered with, or your account is locked out, email us at info@winglocker.co.uk from the email address registered to the account.

Tell us:

  • Your username (if you remember it)
  • Roughly when you signed up
  • Confirm clearly that you want the account deleted

We’ll respond within 5 working days. For security we may ask for additional verification before deleting.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account we immediately:

  • Anonymise your account row — your username, email, profile photo, country, region, AUW, and wing details are removed
  • Delete all your wings, favourites, forecast alerts, app session history, and chat memberships
  • Remove your device from our push notification list so you stop receiving alerts
  • Cancel your subscription on our side and mark the account as no longer entitled to access
  • Remove your Firebase Authentication record so the email is freed up to register a new account if you change your mind

We keep the following so other users’ experience is not damaged:

  • Chat messages and photos you posted, attributed to a “deleted account” stub. This means your name no longer appears, but the conversations other people had with you stay readable.
  • Sites you submitted, with your name detached
  • An anonymised audit log entry recording that an account was deleted at this date — required for fraud prevention and to be able to honour any future “did my account get deleted?” enquiry. The log does not contain your username or any personally identifiable information.

If you want your authored chat messages and photos removed too, email info@winglocker.co.uk before deleting your account and we’ll handle it as part of your GDPR right-to-erasure. Tell us your username so we can find them.

Before you delete

Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your Parakiter account does not stop billing. Apple and Google manage subscriptions independently of us, and they’ll keep charging you until you cancel through their settings.

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Parakiter → Cancel
  • Android: Play Store app → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Parakiter → Cancel

You can keep using your remaining paid period after cancelling, then delete the account when it expires.

Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR you have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Email info@winglocker.co.uk before deleting and we’ll send you a JSON export — covers your profile, wings, alerts, favourites, app sessions, chat memberships, and chat messages.

We’ll respond within one calendar month, usually much faster.
